The whole idea of using illumination in art pieces is an interesting one. Your example of that idea is pretty neat. I could imagine someone sitting in a dark room with your image flashing out of the darkness every few seconds. That would be a trip.

Artists could make night lights. Artists could illuminate clear plastic stackable storage trays with images on the plastic. Artists could throw images on walls. Artists could (please complete this sentence). Adding light to the normal artist's tool kit of images and shapes certainly opens up a lot of possibilities.
