Never give up!

I loved this trailer for the "Making It" documentary. The everyday struggles of an artist, and how to make a living as one. I cannot wait to see the documentary of it.

Getting Close

If your photos aren't good enough, you aren't close enough. -Robert Capa

When I first read these words 6-7 years ago stated by my photo hero and Magnum photographer Robert Capa, the first thing I started doing was trying to physically get closer to my subjects. And I do believe getting right up close with my subjects did in fact improve my photos. Whether it be on the streets, in…

Need Assistance at Art Fairs

I am doing Art Fairs and some shows in local businesses - all within 25 miles of St. Louis City.

I have back issues and I am looking for some assistance in setting up/ tearing down at local art fairs and doing same for displays at local businesses.

I need someone that can assist in some of the work and that has a good eye to assist me in coming up with artistic displays.  If the person is interested, I can also use assistance during art fairs.

"Yes, Virginia, there IS...": Campaign to Restore and Exhibit Virginia Terpening's Artwork

Help The Hinge restore Virginia Terpening's artwork from years of neglect!

Virginia Terpening (b. Missouri, 1917-2007) is one of the Midwest's few mid-century female painters to be nationally recognized and exhibited.
