Instintual Abstract at Turner Center for the Arts

April 13, 2012 from 5pm to 8pm
There is a group of TCA artists who create stunning and dynamic abstract artwork.  Oftentimes, their artwork gets lost in the shuffle of shows where we hang 150 or more pieces.  For this show, we are selecting only the best abstract artwork and we'll hang fewer pieces to give them a chance to "breathe" on the wall.  Help us celebrate the artwork of featured artist Jon Lively and all the other exciting abstract artists of TCA.See More

The Gift of Giving Through The Art of Living: Call for Art.

Crossroads Hospice created the Gift of Giving Through the Art of Living program as a unique way

for artists to provide volunteer services to our patients and their families. Volunteers share their talents to help enrich the lives of patients and their families through artistic and creative projects. This program also includes an intergenerational focus to encourage children and grandchildren to spend time with patients in a creative and interactive way. It is a wonderful program that enriches the lives of all involved.

More than art.

In addition to the satisfaction of helping patients express themselves, featured artists will be invited to display their artwork for a three-month period at the Crossroads office. Artwork created by our patients and their families will also be on display at the shows. Each show will include a reception with snacks and beverages.

Call for art.

We invite you to submit your artwork for consideration in the 2012 Gift of Giving Through the Art of Living shows.

There are no fees or commissions for paintings sold, however artists are asked to donate eight hours of time volunteering at Crossroads Hospice. Volunteering duties can include: companionship, office and administrative, reading, music, arts and crafts, scrapbooking, letter writing and more. To be considered for a show, please submit ten photos or videos of your work to Mary Duban by March 30, 2012 mary.duban@crossroadshospice.com.
