About Me:
Working with common subjects like buttery desserts, household objects and visual elements like reflections, patterns, and sensational colors, I convey the richness and love of the home.

I grew up experiencing dark winters steeped with tales of what was, and objects that spoke of identity in a family of Pennsylvania Dutch roots. Backed by this and my African American and Blackfoot Indian cultures, I pull from my natural tendency to tell stories about the richness of the past and future. My work is full of memories of family, stories and present happenings. Food, especially desserts, was a staple, an element that connects deeply with childhood experiences. To me, food and objects are characters, mimicking emotional states and depicting narratives to the viewer.

In a world of rapidly circulated news and information it is important to pause and reflect, and I hope my work offers the viewer a unique chance to do so.
