About Me:
Hi, right now I am fascinated with light and shadow or tints and shades of colors. I used to paint never using the color black. Now, I want black. I want to show shadow but not in a realistic way. I am experimenting with abstracting forms from real life objects such as people, animals, plants and insects. When I abstract these forms into shapes and designs, I choose what is going to be light, medium and dark planes of solid color.

For some reason, I like to see layers and not mix the colors right on the canvas but mix them before I place them into one solid form. I am attracted to portraits primitive art from early American Colonial periods.

I have always loved fibers, weaving, crocheting, quilting and embroidery. I have so many interests it is hard to make time to do just one thing.

Would love to get into sculpting maybe welding metal to create large pieces. I love large machinery and equipment. I love to travel large concrete overpass areas. That is how large I would like to sculpt.

For now I am learning to make art a part of my life.
