About Me:
Jef was first interested art in grade school. Coming from a small town just outside St Louis he was encouraged to take his life in a different direction. After exploring different careers in retail electronics and even the military he decided to return to school. He is currently working on his Bachelors of Fine Arts at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (SIUE.) Jef is currently exploring how his work in the more technical disciplines relates to art and how technical art really is. This has led to experimentation with form and function with several works commanding both. Others talk about how form is influenced by technology, math, and engineering. Just prior the Jefs return to school he worked as a gallery manager in New York where he was responsible for jurying hanging and organizing shows for local artists. Jef has exhibited at SIUE's New Wagner Gallery as part of the annual undergraduate exhibition and the annual Sculpture on Campus exhibition also at SIUE.
