About Me:
I am a fifth generation native of St. Louis. I am a self-taught photographer who has developed his creative eye and techniques through years of trial and error. I photographs my subjects using available light with a keen eye for composition and lighting.

My photography reflects my passion for the outdoors and travel. For over a decade I have been visiting Europe and have produced a large body of work composed of images from Italy, France, England, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Poland, Slovenia, Budapest and Prague. I also enjoy photographing nature and landscapes with a portfolio that includes the Grand Canyon and Yosemite as well as the beauty of Missouri. In my images I attempt to capture unique moments in time, writing with light so to speak.

I am currently a partner/artist at the Gateway Gallery in Clayton. My prints have been displayed around the St. Louis area in various venues, from art fairs to juried exhibitions; and my work and articles have been published in national photography magazines. I use both traditional and non-traditional methods for photographing and printing. My photographs are printed with pigment inks on a variety of fine art papers suited to each image. My prints have only been available for purchase since 2003 and are now in private collections across the United States, from coast to coast.

Hi Greg,
So sorry I missed you. I ran into some last minute issues which set me back. I am so glad you enjoyed the images. Feel free to stop in again sometime, though you may want to ring to make sure we are here.

Thanks! What i enjoy about using my camera is you get to look twice...once with your human eyes and again with what the camera's film or sensor sees. THAT is when you get to see the abstract! To me, this proves the thing about cubist painting, that the abstract is most certainly based on the "real", not just some doodling. So, what i am now doing more of is to often do a short series of photos, first the realistic, then morphing into abstract. You will see this as i continue to add photographs of mine. And, i DO like your travel photos, so well composed that i can imagine myself being there, captivated by the scenes.
