About Me:
I'm a freelance Digital Artist, 3D modeler, Graphic Designer, and Video editor. I use the following programs to create my art and video projects: Lightwave 3D 9.6, Adobe CS3 PhotoShop,Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Flash.
If you're an artist/art student, don't forget to add a brief artist's statement and photos of three of your art works to either your "comment wall" or "text box." This is your basic St. Louis Art Directory information. Later you may add images, videos, post a blog, and much more.
I express my artistic ability through digital media, using graphic design software such Lightwave 3D, Adobe Photoshop CS3, Premiere Pro CS3, Illustrator CS3, and Flash CS3. Working in the different programs allow me to enhance my gift as an artist, especially using the 3D software, which allow me to create real looking scenes and objects that I can be animated to use in video projects. The greatest satisfaction when I work in Lightwave 3D is the end result. All of the models start out as a box, sphere, or a cylinder, but after several hours of manipulating the geometry to create complex models or images, and to see the end result, is most rewarding. Even more rewarding is animating and seeing my work interacting in video. After 29 years of working in the automotive industry, I thought that I had missed my calling as an artist, but honestly speaking, it was a blessing in disguise. Because of my occupation in the automotive industry (programming Coordinate Measuring Machines ( cmm’s)) it made 3D modeling programs such as Lightwave second nature. I’ve never had any formal training as an artist, but I do believe that it’s a God given gift that I have. I love all types of art, and maybe one day I’ll pick up a pencil and brush and do it the old fashion way on a few projects, but right now most of my time is consumed with digital art.
