It is the nonprofit mission of MySLART.org to provide a free
directory listing and free website to every artist, art gallery,
art organization, and art supporter living within 100 miles of
downtown St. Louis. MySLART.org is an example of a "social
network." It has better features and functionality than giant,
multi-million dollar social networks like MySpace or FaceBook.
With the help of contract engineers and programmers from Bangalore,
India to California's Silicon Valley, I built MySLART.org as a
demonstration of what a social network should be: Full-featured,
user-friendly, and with rock-solid reliability. MySLART.org has
hundreds of users. But it could just easily handles thousands of
concurrent users.

hundred dollars, instead of thousands, or tens of thousands of
