After a day at the office, spend your evening at the “Factory,” as the Saint Louis University Museum of Art celebrates its current exhibition, Warhol’s Polaroids: A Method, with a hip, happening party on Friday, June 1 beginning at 5:00 p.m. The fun continues until 8 p.m.
Grab your go-go boots! Ring out your bell bottoms, and step back into the style that defined Andy Warhol’s “Factory” generation.
D.J. Josh Levi will spin records.
Move like Jagger! Look like Liza! Prizes will be awarded for the best Warhol attire. Judging will begin 5:30 p.m.
Nothing to wear? Don’t despair! We are partnering with the Vintage Haberdashery, located at 3181 Morganford. The Haberdashery features dazzling dresses, flashy footwear, jazzy jewelry, and of course, men’s fashions perfectly “suited” for the ‘60’s. Rentals are available.
Although Warhol attire is encouraged, everyone is invited to be a part of the “in” crowd!
The Factory party is free-of-charge; however, in the spirit of Andy Warhol, guests are encouraged to bring a can of soup to benefit the SLU Campus kitchen.
